Stress Management
The Aromaflex (formerly known as Swiss Reflex Technique) may be used as an effective stress management therapy.
These type of reflexology treatments are particularly beneficial to help to “re-set the stress button”, increasing your stress resilience.
And although these treatments leave you feeling refreshed and energised, your body relaxes deeply and is encouraged to function at optimum levels.
For stress management I recommend treatments at regular intervals to build up and maintain resilience to stress.

Aromaflex Treatments
Aromaflex combines Aromatherapy essential oils with the healing potential of reflexology. This type of reflexology was devised by Shirley Price.
All reflexology stimulates reflexes on the feet to encourage the body to return to a state of homeostasis. Essential oils are applied to the skin in a cream base and, once they are absorbed, can further help to restore balance. Aromatherapy essential oils have many different therapeutic properties, e.g. Lavender relaxes, whilst also having slight analgesic properties. Your therapist selects essential oils for your treatment by using reflexology as an analysis and then prepares your personal unique cream blend. This is used for your reflexology treatment.
In this way Aromaflex treatments combine the therapeutic benefits of essential oils and the benefits of reflexology.

A typical treatment session
Your initial session at Essential Wellbeing includes a detailed consultation about your health and lifestyle. For the treatment you can relax on the treatment couch, or if that is not possible, treatment can take place on a chair. To start with your therapist uses reflexology as an analysis to determine which systems of your body are out of balance. Your therapist can then determine the best possible blend of Aromatherapy essential oils for you and blend these into a base cream. The cream blend is applied to your feet during the Aromaflex treatment, encouraging your body to heal itself in two ways. Firstly, through the stimulation of the reflexes and secondly, through the absorption and action of the essential oils onto your body. Clients often comment on how relaxing and stress-relieving the treatment is, some even fall asleep. However, Aromaflex treatments are very effective and powerful, as they combine the two techniques to maximum benefit.

How many Treatments will I need?
It is recommend that you have 2 or 3 sessions to gain optimum benefits. Generally longer standing health issues need more sessions than acute issues. However, you are welcome to attend for a single session only, if you wish, it is your choice!
